REVENUE SHARING: MATADOR CLUB x RED RAIDER CLUB
Starting July 1, 2025, NCAA schools will begin a new model for revenue sharing, which allows athletic departments to directly share a portion of their revenue with student-athletes. It’s the most significant shift in decades, and it will define which programs rise, and which ones fall. As we enter a new era of college athletics, the Red Raider Club is proud to announce the rebranding of its philanthropic arm of the annual fund as the Matador Club. This rebranding reflects bold and forward-thinking support that will use the Red Raider Club’s annual fund to fuel revenue sharing, scholarships, financial literacy, nutrition, and health for Texas Tech student-athletes.

Statistics show that 85% of student-athletes with full-ride scholarships live in poverty. This doesn’t even touch walk-on players. We want to help change that. The Matador Club is a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization. We create avenues for Texas Tech student-athletes to make a positive impact with their name, image, and likeness (NIL). And our partnership with local organizations gives student-athletes meaningful NIL collaborations.

WHAT’S NIL?
College athletes have never been allowed to profit off of their name, image, or likeness. But recent court rulings and modifications of state law have changed the game. Athletes can now partner with businesses and organizations to make money from their NIL.
